Be An Innovator: Electric Lady
Admins have long been the heroes of their orgs, but at the Dreamforce 2018 #AwesomeAdmin keynote, we were introduced to the official Admin Superpowers - Champion Productivity, Deliver Innovation and Connect Experiences. Of course an Admin will utilise all of these powers, although we all have our speciality - I'm proud to say mine is Champion Productivity!
But like any curious Admin, I'm always looking for ways to amp up my superpowers and never stop learning, and as luck would have it, there's a great new opportunity to learn more about Delivering Innovation through the "Be an Innovator" challenge!
Over 6 videos, the #AwesomeAdmin team, with some help from the Einstein product team will be posting videos and providing guidance to walk through how to build an AI-powered app. Along the way there are Trailhead badges to earn, and fun prizes to win too!
I participated in the Be a Builder challenge earlier in the year, which was very similar to the Be An Innovator challenge, and I absolutely loved it, so I set out to find out some more information about how it came to life.
Both challenges are the brain child of #AwesomeAdmin, Rebecca Saar, who created the Be a Builder challenge after being inspired by the process of building an App herself. She was going through the process of building her own app for a business need and learned a lot from the rest of the #AwesomeAdmin team. First she wrote about it (How I Built My First App in Lighting Experience), then she presented about it at various events, and ultimately she wanted others to be able to experience this process too, so enter Be a Builder!
The video and social media format had been used before to great success, so they decided to continue with it - it's a great way for admins to jump in and get hands on experience, and be able to share their progress along the way. So give it a go - what do you have to lose?
And who knows, there are two more "official" #AwesomeAdmin Superpowers - maybe we'll see hands on challenges based around championing productivity and connecting experiences in the future? (Forward looking statement)
So join me in building an AI-powered App - this is a great way to step out or your comfort zone and get to know some Einstein features, especially if you don't currently have opportunities to do so in your current role!
The Be A Builder Challenge may have ended a while ago, but you can still watch the videos, earn the badges, and build your app.
Special thanks to Rebecca Saar for help with this week's post!
